THE FANATIC'S GUIDE TO
"A Question of Trust"
English Version Written by Terri-Lei

First Appearances: Growlmon
Guest Starring: Devidramon
- As Takato draws
Growlmon, on the wall behind him is what appears to be a
rather crude drawing of Agumon (see screenshot).
- It's hard to tell as his arms get in the way, but when
Impmon is cackling on top of the bench in the park, he
appears to be missing the smiley face on his stomach.
- When Impmon says, "Are you really happy being locked
up like an animal in the petting zoo?" he's coloured
a lot darker - while normally, he's dark purple with
light purple highlights, he's now coloured so dark he's
practically black, with dark purple highlights. You might
try and say that it's shadow, but his scarf doesn't
change with the rest of him, and it continuously
reappears, in this episode and in others, in scenarios
where it doesn't work as shading. The little fella
apparently has two colour models running around, or
something...
- When Impmon says "Now look what you've done,"
he's extra-dark again.
- The layout of Takato's class is different *again.*
Takato's still in the seat by the window, but adjacent to
him is neither Ayaka nor Jeremy, but a generic girl with
black hair and pigtails. Jeri's third nameless friend is
still sitting in the same seat as she was in "Now You See It, Now You
Don't," though.
- When the angle changes and the class all shout
"Okay!" the pigtailed girl is gone, and has
been replaced with a kid with light brown hair and a
yellow shirt.
- Kazu and Kenta discuss the "pint-sized
pyromaniac" with Jeremy and the nameless Michael
look-a-like. This is the first time you see Jeremy's
face. When the Michael look-a-like says, "me
too!" his voice is different from his other speaking
appearance so far, back in "Dream
a Little Dream."
- Ayaka's shirt is supposed to have five red stripes on it,
but here, as she talks with the other girls, it has only
four.
- Heeeere's Mori! After his cameo introduction in "Digimon, Digimon Everywhere,"
Toshiaki Mori gets a proper introduction in this episode.
I love this dude.
- I'm almost certain that, what with his shouts of
"boy!" and fast-talking, overly complicated way
of speaking that confuses others, the police offer who
accosts Takato is a parody of the Warner Brothers
character, Foghorn Leghorn.
- The names of the couple that Guilmon watches Impmon scare
are Hiroko and Hiroshi.
- While Takato is walking back through the park with Miss
Asaji, he pronounces her name "Esaji." This
will resurface in later episodes, too, and makes me
wonder if it wasn't a typo in the script, or something,
because Mori doesn't have any trouble pronouncing her
name the right way.
- In the rear view
shot, as Impmon looks up at the Devidramon, he's coloured
extra-dark again (see screenshot).
- Once again, Impmon is extra-dark as he says, "Aw,
I'm sorry, little baby Dramon can't get outta the mean
ol' Digital Field!"
- As the Devidramon roars after knocking Impmon off the
roof of the gazebo, its lower jaw is coloured black
(well, dark grey, but it represents black) instead of
pale grey.
- As Impmon watches the Devidramon fly away, and remarks,
"This is what's called a tactical error"... you
guessed it, he's extra-dark.
- As the Devidramon swoops down over Takato's head, and
then, as it flies at Guilmon, it's lower jaw is black
again.
- When Guilmon and the Devidramon growl at each other after
Takato analyses it, it's lower jaw isn't black, but it's
a darker shade of grey than it should be.
- Impmon calls Terriermon a "dog-eared bunny
rabbit." Now, I think we're all well aware of the
fact that neither the Americans nor the Japanese really
seem to be able to decide on whether Terriermon is a dog
or a rabbit, but personally, I'd have called Terriermon a
"rabbit-eared puppy dog," myself...
- When Devidramon slams Guilmon into a wall, the lines on
either side of the narrow border than runs across the
middle of the wall are aligned with each other. But when
the angle changes to show Guilmon slumping to the ground,
they're no longer aligned.
- Similarly, when Guilmon slumps, the aforementioned narrow
border has lines on it that it didn't have in the
previous shot.
- Yamaki claims "the public will know nothing of this
debacle." How exactly does he plan to fix that, huh?
Loads of people saw Devidramon fly over the city, and I
find it hard to believe no one would notice this rather
earth-shaking battle. He have a neuralyser to go along
with those shades?
