THE FANATIC'S GUIDE TO
"Jeri's Quest"
English Version Written by Adele Lim
First Appearances: Leomon
Guest Starring: Kumbhiramon
- There's really not a heck of a lot that I found wrong
with this episode. Quite impressive, actually.
- Why is there no Digital Field when Leomon Bio-Emerges? I
realise that the rainbow is used for effect, and, as was
the case when a rainbow last appeared in conjunction with
a fortuitous event ("Not As
Seen on TV"), signifies that things are going to
turn out all right - but in both cases, explanation has
been foregone. How do these rainbows do what they do?
Don't be so damn foofy and artsy about it.
- When Calumon jumps from Leomon's arms into Guilmon's, the
spots on Guilmon's palms are red, instead of their usual
greyish-white colour.
- Henry wonders what Leomon's doing on Earth, if he's not
Jeri's partner. Well, um, gee, Henry, maybe he's a just a
Wild One? You know, like every other non-partner Digimon?
- When Terriermon Digivolves to Gargomon, a different
version of the music is played, which incorporates the
"Digimon, Digital Monsters" refrain.
- Gargomon cries out "Bunny Pummel!" as he first
attacks, but it looks more like a close-range Gargo Laser
to me.
- Notably, when Kumbhiramon dies, he actually
"explodes" into data bits, a la season one or
two, rather than go through the more common Tamers
procedure of dissolving in a wipe or wave.
