Ebidramon appears in "Battle of Adventurers."
Name: From "ebi," Japanese for "shrimp," and "dragon," which "dra" is short for.

EBONWUMON

EbonwumonGroup: Animal – Level: Mega – Type: Vaccine – Attack Techniques: Phantom Mist, Black Hail

Ebonwumon is the oldest of the Digimon Sovereign, the guardian of the north. While Azulongmon and Zhuqiaomon were occupied dealing with Earth’s Digimon Tamers, Ebonwumon was watching over Baihumon’s domain, while Baihumon himself engaged the D-Reaper in battle deep underground. Ryo and Cyberdramon then arrived, having followed the scent of a powerful opponent to the area, but Ebonwumon explained that neither he nor Baihumon was the enemy they sought – it was the D-Reaper. When Baihumon then emerged, Ryo and Cyberdramon flew off after the departed D-Reaper. Soon after, when Calumon had been rescued, Ebonwumon and Baihumon arrived, and they and Azulongmon and Zhuqiaomon urged Calumon to unleash the power of the Shining Digivolution, Digivolving Digimon everywhere.

When the Tamers returned to the real world, the D-Reaper was able to follow them, and the battle continued there, even as Ebonwumon and the other Sovereigns battled with the D-Reaper in the Digital World. During the final battle, when the D-Reaper opened the portal between the two worlds, Ebonwumon and the Sovereigns managed to remove the Cable Reaper from the fight, enabling MegaGargomon to activate the Juggernaut program which won the day.

Ebonwumon first appears in “Azulongmon Explains It All.” His voice (both heads) is supplied by Dave Wittenberg.

Name: His Japanese name, Xuanwumon, comes from the Chinese characters for "black turtle," which are pronouced “Genbu" in Japanese - Genbu is the turtle god of the Japanese city of Kyoto. His American name substitutes “xuan” for “ebon,” which means black.

Due to a programming error in the Japanese D-Terminal, Xuanwumon and Zhuqiaomon’s names were reversed. Bandai of Japan apologised for this error, but still, it carried over to the US D-Terminal, where Xuanwumon became Ebonwumon. Hence the US D-Terminal and all of Bandai of America’s Digimon merchandise calls Zhuqiaomon Ebonwumon, and Ebonwumon Zhuqiaomon. However, thanks to the alertness of US story editor Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and her connection to the fandom, the error was corrected for the US version of the show, giving both characters their correct names. Bandai of America, however, seem blissfully unaware this error exists, and continue to refer to the characters with the reversed names.
