ICEDEVIMON
Group: Evil – Level: Champion – Type: Virus – Attack
Techniques: Frost Claw, Zero Freeze
In the past, IceDevimon rampaged
across the Digital World,
consuming the data of
any and all Digimon that he could,
taking perverse pleasure in causing fear and death. Although a large
group of
Digimon successfully captured him, he proved too powerful for even Cherubimon to destroyed, and he was sealed
him away forever beneath the Rose
Morning Star.
Forever proved to be distinctly
shorter than anticipated,
however, when the DigiDestined’s destruction
of Cherubimon’s castle, situated above IceDevimon’s prison,
shattered its walls
and liberated the frozen fiend. He immediately consumed the data of the
hapless
Digimon held prisoner in the castle, and then froze Takuya
and Koji’s D-Tectors to prevent
them from Spirit Evolving, saving them to battle
after he defeated the other four DigiDestined. The battle was
hard-fought, with
the balance slipping back and forth, but eventually, the four were able
to
claim victory by Slide Evolving into
their Beast forms – immobilised by a
combination of Korikakumon and Zephyrmon’s
attacks, IceDevimon was
destroyed by MetalKabuterimon and JagerLoewemon,
and had his data scanned
by Loewemon.
IceDevimon appears in “Ice Ice
Baby,” notably much larger in
stature than the IceDevimon who previously appeared in Digimon
Tamers. His voice is supplied by Dave Wittenberg,
and is an impression of icy actor Christopher Walken.
Name: From
“ice” and
“devil.”

ICELEOMON
Group: Animal
– Level: Ultimate – Type: Vaccine –
Attack
Techniques: Frozen Fury, Blizzard Breath
IceLeomon was one of the Digimon
encountered by Takuya
within Sakkakumon’s body, while he
was separated from the other DigiDestined.
Stumbling into a sub-section of the villain’s body that took the
form of a
region of ice, Takuya was attacked by IceLeomon, and quickly became Agunimon, seeking to quickly dispatch
his foe and aid Koji in his own
battle. His attempts to talk IceLeomon down failed, and in the ensuing
battle
of fire against ice, the victor was guaranteed, and he scanned
IceLeomon’s
data.
IceLeomon appears in “Stuck In
Sakkakumon With You.” Both
Bandai of Japan and America refer to this Digimon by his Japanese name,
Panjamon,
but for the dub, the name was amended to IceLeomon, carrying on two
traditions
– a voice by Paul St. Peter, the regular voice actor of Leomon
from Digimon
Adventure and Digimon Tamers, and the
death of a Leomon.
Name: From
“ice,” and
“leo,” Latin for “lion.”
ICE, SPIRITS OF
The
Spirits of Ice were left by the departed
AncientMegatheriummon,
in the care of
Ophanimon. Following the decent into
evil of
Cherubimon, Ophanimon
scattered the
Spirits belonging to
her and
Seraphimon across the
Digital
World – the
Human Spirit of Ice was sealed
away in
the valley of the
Candlemon, while,
somewhat bizarrely, the
Beast Spirit
of Ice somehow found its way into a simple video game machine.
When Ophanimon called children to the
Digital World to
become the DigiDestined and use the
power of the Spirits, the Human Spirit of Ice was the third one the
children
located. When Tommy leapt to the aid
of Agunimon, who had been paralysed
by the Candlemon, the nearby Spirit activated, and Tommy took it for
his own,
using it to Spirit Evolve into Kumamon
and help Agunimon defeat Wizardmon, proving to the
Candlemon
that they did indeed possess the powers of the Legendary
Warriors, earning themselves safe passages through the
valley.
Some time later,
the DigiDestined’s
D-Tectors
were stolen by a group of
Toucanmon, and sold to a
Datamon
merchant at the
Autumn Leaf Fair.
While searching for them, Tommy came across the Datamon playing a video
game,
which ejected a prize when Tommy successfully beat it. Discovering that
Datamon
had the D-Tectors in his possession, Tommy headed off to find something
to
trade for them, but in his absence, Datamon’s dissection of the
devices led him
to note how
Takuya’s contained two
Spirits, but Tommy’s only one; apparently aware that the prize
from the video
game was the Beast Spirit of Ice, he implanted it into Tommy’s
D-Tector. His
shop was then attacked by
Petaldramon,
who demanded the D-Tectors, and when Tommy returned, he used his new
Beast
Spirit to become
Korikakumon and
fend of Petaldramon.
Subsequently, the Spirits of Ice were
used in conjunction
with the Spirits of Flame, Wind, Wood and Earth to allow
Takuya to Unified Spirit Evolve into
EmperorGreymon. Later still, they
were used with all of the other Spirits in Ancient
Spirit Evolution, creating Susanoomon.
In addition to being embodied as
Spirits, each of the ten
elements is represented by a certain region of the Digital World
– Ice is
represented by the frozen tundra which contains the Autumn Leaf Fair.
The Human Spirit of
Ice first appears in “Kumamon Baby,
Light My Fire,” while the Beast Spirit premieres in “Bizarre Bazaar.”
IMPMON
Group: Evil – Level: Rookie
– Type: Virus – Attack
Techniques: Badda Boom, Infernal Funnel
An Impmon was among the Digimon
at the Autumn Leaf Fair during the DigiDestined’s
first visit there. As seen in “Bizarre
Bazaar.”

Name: From
“imp,” a
tiny mischievous creature from fantasy.
“ISLAND OF LOST DIGIMON”
Digimon Frontier
theatrical presentation
English version written by Steven Jay Blum
The
DigiDestined
find themselves on the
Lost Island,
caught up in a battle between warring factions of Human and Beast-type
Digimon, initially taking sides and
arguing but later being unified in a plan to stop the fighting by
Bearmon and
Kotemon. As a battle rages and
Takuya and
Koji try to keep things under
control,
J.P.,
Tommy,
Zoe and the others reconstruct a
passage of hieroglyphs on the island's supposed legendary protector,
Onismon, only to find that he is no
saviour, and that
D'Arcmon and
Hippogryphomon, leaders of the
two Digimon factions, are both disguises of the same entity,
Murmuxmon, who has orchestrated the
war in order to gather enough
Fractal
Code to resurrect Onismon. His deception revealed, Murmuxmon
acts, and Onismon is reborn, forcing everyone into an alliance to
combat him. It takes the sacrifice of
Kotemon, however, to call
on the spirits of Onismon's ancient opponents,
AncientGreymon and
AncientGarurumon, who appear and
defeat him.
As the one and only Frontier
movie (the seventh Digimon movie overal), "Island of Lost Digimon" is in
continuity with the Frontier
series. It was originally screened in Japan in 2002, and eventually
reached the West in 2005.
